Taste supports the San Francisco Bay Area community in a variety of philanthropic causes including Meals on Wheels of San Francisco and the San Francisco AIDS foundation. Our owners, MeMe Pederson and Janet Griggs, have served on the Boards of Meals on Wheels, CUESA, S.F. Travel and Academy of Friends.

Established in 1978, Taste is a nationally certified women-owned business. Taste is a preferred caterer for all premier San Francisco venues. Our newly built 18,000 square foot commissary kitchen in Burlingame ensures that we can produce multiple large-scale events, daily.

Taste was the first major caterer in the San Francisco Bay Area to become green certified by the San Francisco Department of the Environment.

Our Staff

Taste is comprised of an energetic team of seasoned professionals, fondly known as Tastebuds. From our founders, MeMe Pederson and Janet Griggs, to our President Margaret Teskey, our dedication runs deep from account executives to event designers, chefs to kitchen staff, service management to servers. We strive to be “simply the best.”
